Our Art and Design curriculum aims to:

• Ensure that pupils have the opportunity to express their individual creativity
• Contribute to children’s personal development in creativity, independence, judgement and self reflection
• Enable pupils to develop a natural sense of wonder and interest in the world around them, this links strongly to our Qualities for Life, particularly curiosity. 
• Develop pupils’ proficiency in drawing, painting, understanding colour and shade and sculpture, with the overall aim of developing a rigorous understanding, critical awareness and inspiration of Art and Design.
